Description: This is the dry fly version of the 5262 model. It’s a great option when you want to use medium-sized or large stoneflies, caddis and terrestrials such as grasshoppers without winding them too thickly. Because it has a 2X long shank, a mayfly tied on #12 is virtually the same size as one tied on a #10 5210 hook, but in this case, the gap and wire are two sizes smaller, so it has the advantage of being less likely to sink. This hook is the perfect component to float large dry flies with a thin hackle.
