A great way to increase the binding strength between tippet and leader.
Description: Please, knot the leader and tippet with a tippet ring! This makes it easier to change the tippet, and the leader does not get shorter with each knot, reducing its wear. Furthermore, when there is a gap in the diameter of the leader and tippet (for example, tying 5X to 3X), it maximizes their ability to resist breakage. It is also very effective when knotting different materials, such as tying fluorocarbon to nylon. It is often used in tight line nymphing and European nymphing, but is also recommended for active retrieval fishing using sinking lines and it will not be a problem for dry fly fishing if you use thick lines.
